Tim McNulty took his Impreza WRC to a very clear victory on last
Sunday's 9 asphalt stage ALMC Rally outside Virginia. Noel
Redmond was 2nd, over 2 minutes back in a similar Subaru.
Pat Donegan switched to a Lancer with good effect for the ALMC
event, winning GpN and finishing 3rd o/a. Brendan Kelly was 2nd
in GpN in another Lancer. Willie Fannin had led the category
initially, but pulled out when his Lancer radiator starting
leaking, following contact with a chicane.

Forestry event (5th September) in an ADR Lancer, as a warm up for
the Wexford Rally where he will drive his Focus WRC.
John O'Connell will be Clerk of the Course of next year's Galway
International, opening round of the Pirelli Tarmac International.
First Choice Flooring will almost certainly sponsor the event
again.

September Ulster International. Hanafin, who runs under his own
FitzSamuel Insurance Rally Team banner, will have Clare Mole
co-driving, as his normal man on the pacenotes, Mike Gibson, is
sitting with Mark Higgins in a Focus WRC.
Kevin Lynch certainly has a busy rally period ahead. This weekend
he competes on the Galway Summer, the following weekend the
Ulster International, where he is seeded at 7 in his Impreza WRC,
behind Mark Higgins and ahead of Austin McHale. The following
weekend he defends his NI Champion position on the Enniskillen
Lakelands (11th September), before moving on to Rally GB.
