took his Escort to a dramatic win on the National section of
last weekend's Cork '20' David James, also in an Escort was
2nd, Philip Cross (Sunbeam) 3rd. Such was Collin's pace that
his times would have placed him 6th o/a in the International.
Adrian Kermode, co-driven by Maurice Beckett, took his Porsche
911 to overall victory in the Historic part of the Cork '20',
with Frank Cunningham (Mini Cooper S) 2nd and Bernard Bradley

Championship points on the Cork '20', although Alan Ring still
leads the points with his Munster Joinery GpN Impreza ahead of

Bandon's James O'Sullivan has moved into the lead of the TOP
Part West Coast Rally series following his 5th o/a GpN winning
drive on the Clare Stages event. Willie Fannin is just 1 point
back in 2nd, with Niall Maguire 3rd a further 10 points back.
The final round is the 14th Nov Banna Kerry Single Stage.
Irish Rally legend Paddy Hopkirk will be the special guest

December Killarney Historic Rally, an event growing in stature
every year, employing as it does many of the Kerry Classic

Dungiven's Kevin Lynch, winner of this year's McCauley
Trailers Forestry Championship, only needs a top six finish on
the final (6th Nov.) Mid Antrim round of the NI Stage
Championship to take that title as well with his Impreza WRC
S9. Kevin Shaw leads the points, but must now drop a score,
opening the door for Lynch.
This weekend's Donegal Harvest Rally is producing the usual
'rally fever'. As well as the top names contesting the Dunlop
Championship penultimate round, former Donegal International
winner James Cullen has obtained a 4 wheel drive Porsche 911
for the event. Rory Kennedy has hired a Lancer from
Robbie McGurk. PJ McDermott is competing in an ex Steve
Fleck BMW M3. Andrew Stewart makes a return in a Lancer Evo 8.
Brendan Kelly is competing in a Lancer.
WRC TV commentator John Desborough is making a return to
Donegal co-driving for Willie John Dolan in his Subaru, and

Harvest event.
