He plans

of the
Killarney
Rally of
the

setting
times on

This is
the 3rd

The
event
will be
based in

and will
have 7
stages
at
Dartry,
Knockatallan
and Esh.
There
was a
certain
amount
of doubt
over
whether
the
rally
would
run,
because
of
worries
over
bird
nesting.
Two high
profile
crews,
Ray

Morrissey
and Noel
Redmond/Ger
Healy
were
refused
a start
on
Carlow

last
weekend, for an
alleged
breach
of the recconnaissance
regulations.
This
follows
the
introduction

some

This
weekend’s
Sperrins
Rally, a
round of
the NI
Championship,
has
attracted
a high
class
entry
led by
last
year’s
winner
Charlie
Donnelly
in a
Corolla
WRC. The
Sperrins
switched
from
forest
to
asphalt
stages a
couple
of years
ago and
this has
certainly
not
dented
the
event’s
popularity.
Based in
Walsh’s
Hotel
Maghera,
the
event
sports a
maximum
120 car
entry,
with top
championship
contenders
Glenn
Allen,
Sean
Devine
and
Stephen
Moore in
their
various
WRC
machinery.
