Daragh O’Roirdan has confirmed that he will give his newly acquired Fiesta WRC it’s Irish rally debut on next weekend’s Quality Hotels West Cork Rally. The Corkman who won the event convincingly in 2012 is optimistic that the new car will be equally as good as his previous Impreza. Daragh and co-driver Tony McDaid are in West Cork today for their reconnaissance and Daragh told us this morning “ I’m really looking forward to the rally. The new car suits me better, its a lot more aggressive than the Impreza, the car moves around a lot more and that really suits my style as I was never so comfortable in the active Subaru so it should be good. Not quite as much power as before but it makes up for it with the handling”.
