Fastest through the High Glen stage was Andrew Nesbitt on 7.53 with Derek McGarrity next up on 8.05, Eugene Donnelly 8.06.  In stage 21 it was Peadar Hurson's turn to set fastest time with 11.10, Donnelly was 11.14 and Nesbitt 11.15. Nesbitt commented at service "Good steady run, suspension has been changed at the back, everything went well".  Derek McGarrity wasn't happy with his suspension, says the car is wandering about, and it is definitely not the tyres. Eugene Donnelly was in good form and said "We had a good run but I think Andrew must have a short cut in High Glen when I look at his stage time!"

Despite that fastest time through Port Lake Hurson told us that his Subaru rear differential is screaming its head off, and he will be lucky to get through the last stage.  Daniel & Michael Doherty say they are just cruising to the finish now, can't really improve and under no pressure from behind. Michael thinks he may have a jump start from the High Glen stage, says Daniel went on the "G" of "Go".

Further stories include - Roy White, still 2nd in gpN, feels there is something not quite right about the steering, almost as if the front sub frame has come loose.  Further news on this is that the centre differential is not working properly. Glenn Allen is having a problem with his Escort WRC's rear anti roll bar. Philip Shaw continues to lead the rear wheel drive category and remarked "We have to try to get her home now, going hard but safe".  Glyn Jones has reportedly stopped on the Port Lake stage, his Impreza WRC gear linkage broken.  Neil McCance is now unofficially 11th and 3rd gpN. Philip Shaw 12th.
