Adrian McElvaney has bought Leon Pesticccio’s Championship winning Lancer Evo 6. The Monaghan lad, a front runner in the Peugeot Super 106 Cup last season, is under pressure of work in the family truck sales business and plans to rally more in Ireland than away this year. He plans to tackle Mayo and the Circuit of Ireland, and then make up his mind whether to go the National or Irish Tarmac route. Paul Goodman will co-drive, as well as partnering John Drislane on the SCCA’s Cherokee Trails.

Tipperary’s Roy White is sticking with his Tim Ashton prepared Mitsubishi Lancer Evo6 this season, with Greg Shinnors co-driving on the planned Irish Tarmac Championship GpN campaign.

Midland M.C’s Sunday 24th March Single Stage event has been enlarged to mini stage status and will be based in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon.

The Motorsport Marshalling Partnership is a new initiative launched by a number of NI motor clubs to reward marshals at season’s end, including the opportunity to become a competitor at the Rally Experience. www.anicc.org.uk/mmp for further information.

Trevor Moore comfortably won Saturday's Mid Antrim Stages Rally despite breaking a driveshaft on the final stage in Tardree Forest. Gary White took 2nd, while John McKeown finished 3rd in a hired Dominic McNeill Escort Cosworth.
