The 10th May Tour of the Sperrins, based in Magherafelt and the next round of the NI Stage Championship, is to be backed by KBB Doors, also based in Magherafelt. Well known driver Philip Shaw is the Clerk of the Course and he is planning a value for money top rally, with an entry fee of just £220 including NES insurance.

The planned outing on the Killarney Rally of the Lakes by Liam O'Callaghan in the development Prodrive GpN Subaru Impreza has had to be shelved, Liam having fallen off a ladder and damaged his shoulder.

Enniskillen MC put a massive amount of hard work into making the St. Angelo airfield venue such a success on the Circuit of Ireland, and will be running their own special stage rally there on Monday 5th May.  Print Factory is backing the rally. Some of the top drivers entered include, Raymond Johnston, George Elliott and Gerry McGarrity.

The Munster MC & Car Club has announced details of their 4/5th October Cork 20 International Rally.  The event will be the final round of this year's Tarmac Championship and will employ some of the classic stages in Co. Cork and be based once again in the Rochestown Park Hotel.  Murphy Construction is backing the rally again this year and well known competitor Frank O'Mahony will be heading the management team.

David Greer of Carryduff Forklift has made a last minute entry on this weekend's Pirelli International Rally to drive his Corolla WRC.  The outing is dependent on the car finally being ready after the Sunseeker accident.

The Killarney Rally of the Lakes on May Bank Holiday weekend promises to have 15 World Rally Cars as the top 15 seeds.  The rally currently has a massive reserve list and also has an Historic section, plus there will be an interesting selection of Group B rally cars traversing the stages.

Dermot O'Gorman was to co-drive for Derek McGarrity on the Circuit, but decided to withdraw when he got news of a family illness. Chris Patterson, just back from Rally New Zealand where he was co-driving for Niall McShea, stepped in to the breach. Niall, who drives under an Irish licence, scored two valuable WRC Production Cup points.
