Further to RallyNews No.2 stage 1 has re-started and cars 6 to 10 have been given an “interrupted” time which will probably be 8.27.4. Damien Toner recorded a time of 8.54.8 then Jonny Leonard came through on 8.18.5.
Frank Kelly reported at stage finish when he eventually got through that Camillus Bradley had crashed his Escort on a double cautioned 6 right with rocks outside. Although Camillus’ Escort rolled Frank reckoned that he has got away reasonably light and the main thing is that Camillus and his co-driver Danny seemed to be OK.
Due to that interruption on stage 1 the rally may be running a few minutes late but there is a fair possibility that it will be brought back on time fairly quickly so long as there are no further snags.
